This Body Butter is a combination of luscious butters and oils that when combined help to hydrate the skin as well as put a protective barrier to lock that moisture in.
This formula/recipe is a result of many years of testing and tweaking to get a Body Butter that feels great on the skin and protect against the harsh, dry winters but does not feel greasy and washes off easily when needed.
The key to achieving this was the inclusion of an emulsifier. Although this product is anhydrous (no water), the emulsifying wax helps in many ways including reducing the oily feel, helps to rub on skin, washes away easily and improves the structure and firmness of the Body Butter.
Although the emulsifier makes the Body Butter firmer, allowing it to be sold from mid to later Autumn and right through to early Spring, this recipe is still not meant for sale in warm Summer months.
As with most of my recipes, it is easy to tweak many of the ingredients to create a unique product for your brand. There are several suggestions in the recipe on how you can make changes to make this your own unique product.

The document is written in both formula (percentages) and recipe (metric weight) format and has full instructions on how to create the Body Butter. The document also contains information about the ingredients, any substitutes you can use as well as other tweaks so you can customise the final product.

Ingredients you will need to make this recipe
- Emulsifying Wax (I used BTMS 50 but you can use any)
- Shea, Mango & Cocoa Butter (Substitutes can be made)
- Olive Oil (any liquid plant oil can be used)
- Jojoba (any liquid plant oil can be used)
- Fractionated coconut Oil or Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride
- Natural Vitamin E
- Tapioca Starch
- Essential and fragrance oil (Optional)
Please note this recipe is in metric measures. If you use imperial, you will need to convert yourself.
