Soap Dough is one of those magical things that can bring endless possibilities to your soapy creativity!
What is it?
Soap Dough is saponified soap that has not been allowed to cure. Until soap is allowed to cure, it remains soft and pliable allowing it to be moulded into any shape you can think of. Once you have made your creations, they are left exposed to the air for a few weeks to harden as you do a regular soap bar.
How to use it?
Soap Dough can be used in a number of ways:
- Use like modelling clay to create 3D objects
- Use with a clay extruder to create soap cane embeds
- Roll out flat and use cookie/fondant cutters
- Use with Sprinkle sheets

IMPORANT - AIR IS THE ENEMY OF SOAP DOUGH
To keep Soap Dough soft and pliable, it is important not to expose it to prolonged periods of air until you are ready to cure the embeds. While creating, keep unused soap dough wrapped in film. If it has started to harden, knead soap until soft and then wrap up. When not creating, keep it wrapped in the film and sealed in bag.
It is recommended to store in an air-tight container. Your soap dough creations will begin to harden within a few ours of being exposed to air but is best to cure for 4-6 weeks.
